My wife and I decided to turn our dream of living in The Gorge a reality in 1993, and we love calling this area "home". The combination of small town friendliness, and quick access to the all the great outdoor activities available, makes this an ideal environment for our lifestyle. We are avid bicyclists, both off road and road riding in the warm months, and we enjoy the close by Nordic skiing when the snow is in the mountains. We are also blessed with some truly "World Class" motorcycling here, both pavement and off road.

There are also endless hiking trails in the area. For those so inclined, the same trails make for excellent equestrian riding, too. For the "wet set", there are virtually unlimited opportunities for fun, whether your preferred sport be windsurfing, kite sailing, sailboating, white water sports, water skiing, or wave running. The Columbia River and it's tributaries offer some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing anywhere on the planet, as well as bass and walleye pike for those "in the know". Hang gliding and parasailing are popular activities when conditions allow.

A little about my background; I was involved in the bicycle industry for over 25 years, as a manufacturer's representative for about half that time. Our move to Hood River co-coincided with my venture into entrepenurialism, and I was a partner in starting one of the two quality bike shops located in the downtown area. I have always enjoyed working with people, and being involved in a retail bicycle- related environment greatly enriched my life, and we have many great, now lifelong friends from that experience. My transition into real estate seemed a natural extension of my desire to work closely with people, and again, I have found that many of the relationships formed while helping folks either purchase, or sell their homes, have become lasting ones. With hard work and a little (maybe a lot!) of luck, I have maintained a multi- million dollar real estate sales level for the past ten years.
